A fine George II mahogany veneered and gilt overmantel pediment mirror with cartouche surmount. The latter inset with a large pastoral landscape painting original to the entire overmantel. Dating ca 1750 in the English Rococo manner. The mirror plates original and not replaced. ‍Provenance: 1930’s Stair and Co label on the back.

A superb quality mid 19th century Chinese reverse glass painting. Depicting a courtly scene with elaborately dressed courtiers. Very large and in its original frame: extremely decorative and impressing. Finely painting with good vibrant colours.

Extremely fine and large Chinese reverse glass painting, circa 1850

An unusual and large Kangxi (1662-1722) blue and white porcelain charger. circa 1700. Its shape takes inspirations from Dutch 17th century silver, probably the basin of an ewer. Large mushroom shaped kangxi mark at the bottom. Similar examples and literature: Hermitage Museum, saint Petersburg (Arapova,1977, p.122) : Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum (de krahl/Ayers, 1986, p 1023).

Large Chinese 18th century Kangxi Blue and White Charger

A thickly potted and massive early 18th century Japanese Imari vase, circa 1700 showing a plethora of Kara Shi Shi Dogs, ducks and birds of paradise. All set in a landscape of reeds and foliage. Decorated throughout with enormous swirling abstract patterns. The overall palette is softly muted blue, red and green glazes with gilded highlights.

Early 18th Century Japanese Octagonal Imari Vase

A small Georgian oil portrait of a young lady ca. 1730. A very charming small scale oil painting of very unusual size. This is not a miniature but a proper oil painting on canvas in a hand carved and gild frame of the same period. The sitter is very sympathetically represented adorned with flowers and jewellery.
