In the process of being lamped and mounted on a hand carved and hand gilt wooden base, fitted with antiqued brass plate with UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug. A small Georgian oil portrait of a young lady ca. 1730. A very charming small scale oil painting of very unusual size. This is not a miniature but a proper oil painting on canvas in a hand carved and gild frame of the same period. The sitter is very sympathetically represented adorned with flowers and jewellery.
