A Large late 17th Century Japanese Octagonal Arita Blue and White Vase ca. 1680. The vase is of octagonal baluster form, boldly painted with phoenixes and large blossoming foliage around the body within stylised borders, the covers with similar flowers and foliage below the blue finial. Good dark blue colours, excellent loose decoration stylistically typical of this period and in general good Country House condition.

A Large late 17th Century Japanese Octagonal Arita Blue and White Vase ca. 1680. The vase is of octagonal baluster form, boldly painted with phoenixes and large blossoming foliage around the body within stylised borders, the covers with similar flowers and foliage below the blue finial. A fine pair of early 18th century Japanese porcelain models of a carp leaping the Lungmen Falls, Arita Kilns, circa 1730-1750. Made from a two-piece mould, the tail and fins were made separately and luted to the body. The carp is depicted in a dynamic pose bent at the tail forcing the body upwards, open mouthed with it`s Barbles pushed back to it`s eyes it is clearly struggling. It is decorated in underglaze blue, pale iron-oxide, red and gold. For similar examples: Christies London, Sale 12445, 6/07/2016, lot 9.

Chippendale Piecrust Tilt-Top Tea Table, English, ca. 1760-1780, in mahogany, with birdcage mechanism over fluted column terminating in an elegant pedestal urn. On carved legs and feet. The decoration on the feet and legs is possibly 19th century. Good colour and lovely figured top. Provenance: Famous English Screen and Stage personality.

This large Japanese porcelain charger dating circa 1700 features an unusual decoration: there is no under glaze blue as usually found in the Imari palette but the background is painted over glaze with a layer of black enamel: The result is very eye catching. This charger is particularly deep, has got big spur marks on the back (a sign of being early). Condition: There is a hairline crack of about 8 cm at h 11 that is displayed in picture nr 6. Rare object.

A large early 18th century Dutch Delft blue and white octagonal vase, Lamped. Depicting Chinese courtiers, one of which riding a battle horse, in a rocky landscape. Several comparable example at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Holland. Lamped and mounted on a hand carved and hand gilt wooden base, fitted with antiqued brass plate with UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug. Can be converted for EU or US use. Lampshades are not included.

A large late 17th century Japanese octagonal Arita blue and white vase, circa 1680. The vase is of octagonal baluster form, boldly painted with rocks and large blossoming foliage composed around the entire body within stylized borders. This vase has exceptionally good dark and light blue glaze saturation as well as virtuoso decoration stylistically typical of this period. As the vase has a hairline crack and a reduced neck we have made it into a fabulous lamp. It has a handmade wood octagonal gilded lid and a hand-turned gilded base.
