An exquisite pair of early 18th century Japanese Imari trumpet vases. Each central panel decorated with a beautifully depicted kara shi-shi lions and framed by borders of blue scrolling flowers on a dark blue and gold background. Condition: very good, one is perfect, the other has a barely visible hairline crack running for about 15 cm in the less decorated side of the vase.
