A Regency black painted plaster standing female figure light by Humphrey Hopper depicted in classical dress, holding aloft a candle light with etched floral glass shade, on a circular base. The shade replaced. Signed and Dated on the back of the base “N 18-1809” and “H”. Humphrey Hopper (1765-1844) may have started his career as a mason. He completed his education as a mature man of 36 by enrolling in the Royal Academy Schools in February 1801 to study sculpture. He was a successful student, winning a silver medal in December 1802.

Finely painted in typical Imari palette with underglaze blue on white background and overglaze gold and red floral decoration with elaborate panels depicting birds and shishi lions. Large 18th Century Japanese Imari Porcelain Charger

A tall elongated shape Japanese Imari vase as a lamp. Decorated with several panels depicting landscapes and wisteria branches on a dark blue and gold background. At the top a chip of chirca 4 cm has been professionally restored and hardly visible.

An unusually small proportioned early georgian cuban mahogany stool with drop in seat and cabriole leg with high pad feet, dating from around 1720. Very good condition and of a lovely rich colour and surface. Upholstered with an 18th Century silk damask.
