A pair of large Chinese Export reverse glass portrait pictures, one panel depicting a woman of rank, the other her husband, probably a dignitary in their original frames. Their scale is unusually large and are exceptionally fine. The pictures retain their original moulded frames together with their pierced bronze hanging plates. However they are in ‘country house’ condition. The delicate technique of painting behind hand moulded glass panels renders them vulnerable to the hand of time. There are many areas where the paint has lifted from the glass.

A charming Dutch late 17th century ‘Kwab’ or centre table. Decorated in a green painted surface with gilded highlights. Typical Baroque scrolling legs and decoration. The marble-top later and associated. The table dates from circa 1700.

A very realistically modelled pair of white porcelain elephants on ormolu bases. Maison Samson, Paris, circa 1900. A similar, although slightly larger, example in: Mallett, 2010 catalogue, pag.26 : Visite Privee, Hotels Particuliers de Paris, pag. 91 : The collection of the late Duchess of Devonshire. An impressive Southern Italian (Naples or Palermo) carved giltwood console table. First half of the 18th Century (1740). In full Rococo style and retaining most of its original gilding. Beautiful red French marble top.

A large Chinese blue and white kraak charger, Wanli (1573-1619), decorated in the centre with a pair of black birds and flowers issuing from rockwork. The panelled border decorated with flowers and precious objects. Good solid blue glaze. An excellent decorative piece of early Chinese porcelain.

An unusually small proportioned early georgian cuban mahogany stool with drop in seat and cabriole leg with high pad feet, dating from around 1720. Very good condition and of a lovely rich colour and surface. Upholstered with an 18th Century silk damask.
