Decorated throughout with enormous swirling abstract patterns. The overall palette is softly muted blue, red and green glazes with gilded highlights.

A pair of large Chinese Export reverse glass portrait pictures, one panel depicting a woman of rank, the other her husband, probably a dignitary in their original frames. Their scale is unusually large and are exceptionally fine. The pictures retain their original moulded frames together with their pierced bronze hanging plates. However they are in ‘country house’ condition. The delicate technique of painting behind hand moulded glass panels renders them vulnerable to the hand of time. There are many areas where the paint has lifted from the glass.

A large pair of Japanese Imari vases, dating around 1700. Decorated with Typical Imari palette: underglaze blue on white background. Overglaze with four large quatrefoil panels containing finely painted shishi lions and blossoming branches and flowers in gold and iron red. Lamped and mounted on a hand carved and hand gilt wooden base, fitted with antiqued brass plate with UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug. Can be converted for EU or US use.
